BioVid Internship Program
The program provides an ideal opportunity for students to gain real world business experience while putting the theoretical foundation they are developing into practical application and exploring market research as a potential career path.
Interns participate in a wide array of qualitative and quantitative market research projects in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, utilizing best practices in the social sciences to gather information about medications, treatment practices, therapeutic decision-making, patient adherence and other areas of interest.
Interns work alongside BioVid team members on all project phases to convert that information into meaningful business intelligence. Interns may also have the opportunity to initiate and complete their own internal project in conjunction with BioVid staff to further hone their research skills. Some recent examples include:
- Execution of a primary research study to explore the emergence and role of technology in qualitative methodologies
- Mining of primary global databases in conjunction with secondary research to identify how cultural differences may impact survey responses
- Exploratory research and case study development to evaluate the capability of various analytic methods (i.e. structural equation modeling)
- Building and maintenance of a primary research database of global initiatives to provide normative comparisons and perspective across markets.
Internships are available throughout the year, typically lasting 3 months, though that term may vary.
Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, with occasional evening, early-morning and weekend hours.
BioVid is located in Bristol, PA which is in close proximity to most of the world's largest Pharmaceutical companies and located between Philadelphia and New York City, an easy drive or train ride from top undergraduate and graduate programs up and down the northern Mid-Atlantic region.
If you are a department head or faculty member, kindly direct your brightest undergraduate and graduate students to the BioVid Internship Program. It is an excellent opportunity for them to gather real-world experience in applying the principles of social sciences and marketing, and to exercise their quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
Your students need not aspire to a long-term career in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries, though such students certainly make an ideal fit. They simply need to be capable, self-starters, looking for opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills among some of our industry's best decision and social scientists, in a methodologically rigorous environment serving Fortune 500 companies.
We work with three quarters of the world's major pharmaceutical manufacturers, and sixty percent of our client projects include research designs that are global in scope. We offer a professional yet informal environment that ideally matches the learning needs of talented, initiative-oriented graduate students.
